A Lion King Quilt for J&K

When my good friends and fellow feline followers from work announced they were expecting, their Lion King nursery plans incited oodles of excitement.

I decided to keep it pretty simple and use some of the sunset colour scheme I already had fleshed out with some Batik and African inspired fabrics from my local Spotlight and patchwork stores. I especially like the green with aqua splotch.

Being a simple design I added in some velvety textured pieces to make it a bit more interesting for bub, as well as a few smaller quad patches.  The basket weave quilting was very simple but gave me an excuse to try different stitches on my machine.
